While the LVC is still recovering from the 2010 kick-off edition, Champion Sound is ready to celebrate its 3rd year anniversary! In the past 3 years Champion Sound became one of the leading Dutch drum and bass events. Drum and bass hot shots like Aphrodite, Calyx & Teebee and Subfocus already came to Leiden and rocked the LVC.. This year, we are really proud to bring the drum and bass godfather of the States, Dieselboy! Known as the surgeon of mixing, he has impressed crowds worldwide with his selection and mixing technique. No wonder he is seen as the American Andy C. Already in 1998, he tied with LTJ Bukem for “Best Drum and Bass DJ” at the Global DJ Mix Awards. Next to DJing, Dieselboy is an acknowledged producer. He is America’s best-selling d&b artist, with releases on Moving Shadow, Technical Itch’s label and his own Human Imprint. No need to blow our own candles this year, since Dieselboy will do so for us!
No Champion Sound celebration without the residents. Sektor will make his final appearance as a resident DJ! MC Dapper, VJ Differenc and De Oplichters will provide the high quality support. It’s birthday time, so we will go on till 5! Take your horns & whistles and make sure you don’t miss out!

After all, Higgins' last mix CD release, The 6ixth Session (Palm Pictures) was not only one of the best selling electronic music albums in the States last year, at over 80,000 scanned, The 6ixth Session is also the best selling drum 'n' bass mix CD in the history of electronic music. Although it came out in late 1999, it continues to sell strongly to this date.
